International Shipping Center 🌎
Welcome to Ya'Mar International Shipping.
This page explains how international shipping works on Ya'Mar, who pays duties and taxes, how customs works, what DDP and DAP mean, and what buyers and sellers should know before placing or fulfilling international orders.
International Shipping on Ya'Mar
Ya'Mar currently supports international shipping between eligible users located in the United States and Canada.
Users located in the United Kingdom may access the Platform; however, international shipping to and from the United Kingdom is not currently supported through Ya'Mar. UK users may be limited to domestic transactions only.
Additional countries and shipping corridors may be added in the future.
What Is DDP?
DDP stands for Delivered Duty Paid.
For eligible DDP shipments, estimated duties, taxes, VAT, GST, brokerage fees, and certain import-related charges may be calculated and displayed separately during checkout before you place your order.
This allows buyers to see many of the expected import costs upfront and helps reduce unexpected charges during delivery.
DDP is the default international shipping method on eligible Ya'Mar shipments.
What Is DAP?
DAP stands for Delivered at Place.
With DAP shipping, buyers may be responsible for paying duties, taxes, customs charges, brokerage fees, and other import-related costs required by the destination country before delivery can be completed.
Certain sellers may be permitted to offer DAP shipping where supported by the Platform and where buyers can be informed of potential import costs before purchase.
Who Pays Duties and Taxes?
The party responsible for duties and taxes depends on the shipping method selected.
For DDP shipments, applicable duties and taxes may be collected during checkout when available.
For DAP shipments, buyers may be responsible for paying duties, taxes, customs fees, brokerage fees, and similar charges assessed by the destination country.
Import charges vary by country, product type, value, and local regulations.
Why Am I Seeing Duties and Taxes at Checkout?
For eligible DDP shipments, Ya'Mar may display estimated duties, taxes, brokerage fees, customs processing fees, and similar import-related charges as separate line items during checkout.
These charges are not Ya'Mar fees. They are governmental or customs-related charges associated with importing goods into another country.
Can Duties and Taxes Change?
Yes.
Customs authorities, tax agencies, carriers, and governmental organizations may occasionally assess charges that differ from initial estimates due to:
-
Customs reviews
-
Tariff changes
-
Product classifications
-
Declared values
-
Country-specific regulations
-
Regulatory changes
While Ya'Mar strives to provide accurate estimates where available, final assessments are determined by applicable authorities.
Why Are Sellers Asked for HS Codes?
International shipments require customs documentation.
Sellers are required to provide accurate product information, including Harmonized System (HS) tariff classification codes when applicable.
HS codes help customs authorities:
-
Identify products
-
Calculate duties and taxes
-
Determine import requirements
-
Process shipments more efficiently
Ya'Mar may provide HS code lookup tools and suggestions, but sellers remain responsible for verifying the accuracy of customs information submitted through the Platform.
What Happens If Customs Delays My Package?
Customs inspections and border reviews are a normal part of international shipping.
Shipments may occasionally experience delays due to:
-
Customs inspections
-
Government reviews
-
Carrier processing delays
-
Regulatory requirements
-
Weather events
-
High shipping volumes
These delays are generally outside Ya'Mar's control.
Can I Return an International Order?
Yes, eligible international orders may qualify for returns under the Ya'Mar Returns & Refund Policy.
Approved international returns must follow the return instructions provided through the Platform.
Buyers and sellers may be required to complete customs documentation, comply with carrier requirements, and follow destination-country regulations when returning international shipments.
Are Duties and Taxes Refundable?
Not always.
Duties, taxes, VAT, GST, brokerage fees, customs processing fees, and similar import-related charges may not be refundable once they have been assessed, collected, processed, or remitted.
Refund eligibility is determined by customs authorities, governmental agencies, carriers, and other third-party service providers, not by Ya'Mar.
Ya'Mar cannot guarantee reimbursement of customs-related charges associated with international shipments.
What Happens If I Refuse an International Shipment?
Refusing an international shipment may result in additional charges, including return shipping fees, customs processing fees, brokerage fees, storage charges, carrier fees, or other costs assessed by customs authorities or shipping providers.
Depending on the circumstances, some charges may be deducted from any refund issued.
